Basel is a city in the north of Switzerland. Every year, it has a big Christmas market.
The market is in two city squares. They are Barfüsserplatz and Münsterplatz.
About 150 wooden stalls stand there. They sell spices, candles, and bright decorations.
Children can visit the Christmas fairytale forest in Münsterplatz.
They can decorate gingerbread, make candles, and build stars.
There is even a puppet show.
Visitors can climb the stairs of St. Martin’s tower. From the top, they can see the old town full of lights.
Or they can drink mulled wine at a 13-meter-high Christmas pyramid in Barfüsserplatz.
The Basel Christmas market opens on November 27.
It will welcome guests until December 23.
